About GDI Services

General Description: A backshift cleaner is generally responsible for collecting and compacting all garbage, scrubbing and mopping floors

Responsibilities:

  • Clean floors (mopping, sweeping)
  • Daily cleaning of washrooms and lunchrooms
  • Empties and cleans garbage cans
  • Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches and doors
  • Cleans partition glass that is within arm’s reach
  • Clean and tidy washrooms
  • Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
  • Dusts and damp wipes office equipment
  • Disinfects telephones at established frequencies or on an as requested basis
  • Additional duties may be required from time to time.
