Job Description:

 

Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas

Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

Clear and clean prep tables, and front counter

Place dishes in storage area

Replenish condiments and other supplies at the serving areas

Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand such as kitchen utensils and containers

Scour pots and pans

Keep records of the quantities of food used

Portion and wrap foods

Prepare, heat and finish simple food items,

Serve customers at counters or buffet tables

Stock refrigerators and salad bars

Take customers’ orders

Operate cash register

Process money, and credit/debit card payments

Provide customer service and upsell

Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs

Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment

Handle and store cleaning products

Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

Remove kitchen garbage and trash

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Assemble and disassemble food booths

Check food and meat temperature, meet company food quality standards

Prepare and cook meat products

 

 

Requirements

Education: Some secondary education is required

Experience: At least 7 months of experience as a Fast Food preparer or in restaurant positions is required. On the job training will be provided.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure, Attention to detail.

Language: English is required

Work site environment: Noisy, Hot, Cold/refrigerated.

 

Salary: 17.60 hourly, 50 – 60 hours per week

 

Benefits: Uniform provided by employer, Transportation among work locations, Travel expenses paid by the employer if the worker needs to relocate, On-site housing in bunkhouses provided at no cost.

 

Important Information: The regular schedule is 6 days per week on a rotational basis, 10 to 12 hours per day. Overtime and work on weekends will be required. Work on holidays may be required depending on the business needs. Workers will travel to events in different provinces and locations during the season.
