Flat Roofer

Overview

We are presently looking for FLAT ROOFERS to join our busy team.

Responsibilities include:

• Repair and install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Repair and install single-ply roofing system (EPDM, TPO, PVC) using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms

Compensation is dependent on candidate experience and qualifications:

$36.00 to $44.00 per hour

Vacation Pay: 6% of hourly weekly earnings

Hours: Between 32 and 44 hrs per week, Monday to Saturday

RRSP Contributions: 7% to 10% of wages after probationary period

What we’re looking for:

• Ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of flat/low slope roofing experience with ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Willingness to work year round and on some weekends.
• Class G driver’s license is considered an asset.
• Should have own steel-toed safety boots
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safety certificates for the industry; but training is available
