Responsibilities
\nPrepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
\nEstimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects
\nLay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
\nConstruct and install prefabricated masonry units
\nBuild patios, garden walls and other decorative installations
\nRead sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
\nWork at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
\nCut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
\nLay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
\nLay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys
\nLay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks
\nRestore, clean or paint existing masonry structures<\/p>\n
