{"id":10920,"date":"2026-05-13T12:51:56","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T12:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobhouse.ca\/jobboards\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=10920"},"modified":"2026-05-14T19:31:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T19:31:08","slug":"adult-day-program-adp-assistant-east-york","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobhouse.ca\/jobboards\/job\/adult-day-program-adp-assistant-east-york\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada Summer Jobs &#8211; Adult Day Program (ADP) Assistant\u00a0 (East York)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>REPORTING TO:\u00a0 Adult Day Program Manager<\/p>\n<p>JOB SUMMARY:\u00a0 This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of the Program in a manner that is responsive to client needs.<\/p>\n<p>DUTIES:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in program activities in collaboration with participants, other staff, volunteers and students.<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance to participants as required with ADP&#8217;s such as feeding, dressing, toileting, personal care and other needs that may arise.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase food and meal preparation<\/li>\n<li>Set up, clean up, wash dishes and counter tops in kitchen<\/li>\n<li>General cleaning of program areas as required<\/li>\n<li>Participate in staff and unit meetings<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate petty cash receipts and packing slips from suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to TNG\u2019s policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Other tasks as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity and awareness in implementing anti-racial and non-discriminatory practices<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word\/Excel<\/li>\n<li>Current First Aid and CPR certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 1-2 years&#8217; experience working with older adults and\/or persons with cognitive and\/or physical disability<\/li>\n<li>Personal Support Worker Certificate an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to apply for this position, you\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong>\u00a0be 15 to 30 years of age.
