Job Description:<\/p>\n
Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests<\/p>\n
Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery<\/p>\n
Produce diagnostic radiographs<\/p>\n
Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery<\/p>\n
Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian<\/p>\n
Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian<\/p>\n
Counsel clients on animal health care<\/p>\n
May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/p>\n
Education: Completion of a two- or three-year animal health\/veterinary technology college program is required.<\/p>\n
Credential: Being eligible for a Certification and\/or license from a regulatory authority (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians) is a strong asset.<\/p>\n
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience working with a veterinary cardiologist.<\/p>\n
The ability to operate an echocardiogram and other cardiology equipment is required.<\/p>\n
