We require a full time truck mechanic to work in repair facility in Concord Ontario<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Diagnose mechanical problems, repairs brakes, transmission, rear-ends, and clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, and electrical problems, tune ups.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist with Plant repairs.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Welding to equipment as needed.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Able to go from one job to another when required.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Repair body as needed.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Makes service calls as needed.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Report any vehicle defects to supervisor.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Able to work in inclimate weather conditions.<\/p>\n
$37.00\/ hr, 44hrs\/ week, Monday- Friday and some Saturdays when needed.
\nThis is a permanent position
\n1- 2 years experience, and completion of high school diploma required.
\nPreference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, indigenous peoples, vulnerable youth, older workers and people with disabilities with appropriate experience.<\/p>\n
Possession of a valid Truck & Coach Technician Certificate in good standing.
\nRegistered apprenticeship program.
\nBe able to work effectively with minimum or no supervision.
\nWork shifts.
\nWork at heights.
\nAble to read and write in the English Language.
