Job Description:<\/p>\n
Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
\nRepair cracks and holes
\nApply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
\nPrepare walls for painting (Scraping, Sanding, Caulking)
\nPaint spraying and coating surfaces
\nPerforms minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster
\nMaintain all tools and equipment
\nAdhere to workplace safety rules and regulations
\nOperates equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
\nMay drive a van to and from the work locations
\nRequirements:<\/p>\n
-Education: Completion of secondary school is preferred.<\/p>\n
-Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary certificate is required.<\/p>\n
-Experience using roller painting and brush painting is preferred.<\/p>\n
-Experience in drywall taping\/patching is an asset.<\/p>\n
-Valid driver\u2019s license is an asset.<\/p>\n
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:\u00a0 Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling, ability to distinguish between colours, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, fast-paced environment<\/p>\n

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).<\/p>\n

Salary: $23.00 hourly, 40-45 hours per week.<\/p>\n

Important Information:<\/p>\n
This position requires flexibility in schedule. The worker will be required to work 5 days per week, 8-9 hours per day, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, (sometimes starting at 8:30am or 9:00am), occasional Saturday\u2019s schedule from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime might be required, including weekends (roughly once every 2-4 weeks) and holidays according to the business needs.<\/p>\n
