Job Description<\/p>\n
Interpret welding process specifications<\/p>\n
Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated TIG welding equipment<\/p>\n
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes<\/p>\n
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and\/or specifications<\/p>\n
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment<\/p>\n
Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines<\/p>\n
Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal<\/p>\n
Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)<\/p>\n
Determine weldability of materials<\/p>\n
Operate hoisting and lifting equipment<\/p>\n
Operate previously set-up TIG welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products<\/p>\n
Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal<\/p>\n
Maintain and perform minor repairs on TIG welding, brazing and soldering equipment<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/p>\n
Education:\u00a0Completion of high school is required<\/p>\n
Experience:\u00a0At least 4 years of experience in TIG welding is required. If the candidate does not have 4 years of experience in TIG welding, then a post-secondary education certificate OR completion of a three-to-four-year apprenticeship program is required.<\/p>\n
Certification for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) is required.<\/p>\n

Important information: Flexibility in schedule is required. The work schedule will be Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Weekend work and overtime may be required depending on the business needs.<\/p>\n
