{"id":10632,"date":"2025-12-03T19:21:25","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T19:21:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobhouse.ca\/jobboards\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=10632"},"modified":"2025-12-09T13:23:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T13:23:09","slug":"urla-fine-foods-inc-2-purchasing-manager","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobhouse.ca\/jobboards\/job\/urla-fine-foods-inc-2-purchasing-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"Purchasing Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Urla Fine Foods Inc., located at 77 Samor Rd, Unit 1, Toronto, ON, M6A 1J2, seeks a full-time (30 hours per week) permanent purchasing manager.\u00a0 Wage $60.10 hourly.\u00a0 Duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the purchasing activities of Urla Fine Foods, including sourcing and purchasing authentic Turkish grocery products directly from suppliers and manufacturers in Turkey<\/li>\n<li>Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget<\/li>\n<li>Identify Turkish vendors of grocery products and other kitchen\/food supplies<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate cost and quality of Turkish grocery and other kitchen\/food supplies, ensuring highest quality products are sourced<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate purchase contracts with Turkish suppliers overseas, ensuring an in-depth understanding of the Turkish market and suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the development of specifications for Turkish grocery products, including assessing what Turkish grocery products are in demand to adjust purchasing strategies<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the kitchen production department to ensure they receive the appropriate food\/kitchen supplies, especially seasonal or specialty Turkish products essential for prepared foods.<\/li>\n<li>Review and process claims against suppliers, both in Turkey and in Canada<\/li>\n<li>Interview, hire and oversee training of staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A bachelor degree\/college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics or a similar field is required. Two to three years of experience working as a purchasing agent\/officer is required. Language of work:\u00a0 English. Excellent oral and written communication in Turkish is also required.
