Overview

We require a full time truck mechanic to work in repair facility in Concord Ontario

Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.

· Diagnose mechanical problems, repairs brakes, transmission, rear-ends, and clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, and electrical problems, tune ups.

· Assist with Plant repairs.

· Welding to equipment as needed.

· Able to go from one job to another when required.

· Repair body as needed.

· Makes service calls as needed.

· Report any vehicle defects to supervisor.

· Able to work in inclimate weather conditions.

$37.00/ hr, 44hrs/ week, Monday- Friday and some Saturdays when needed.
This is a permanent position
1- 2 years experience, and completion of high school diploma required.
Preference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, indigenous peoples, vulnerable youth, older workers and people with disabilities with appropriate experience.

Possession of a valid Truck & Coach Technician Certificate in good standing.
Registered apprenticeship program.
Be able to work effectively with minimum or no supervision.
Work shifts.
Work at heights.
Able to read and write in the English Language.
