Finance Assistant – one position  – contract is for ten weeks, 35 hours per week and paying $17 per hour

Our Finance Assistant will support our busy finance team in accounts receivable and payroll. They will act as the first-point of contact for sites, departments and staff and provide high level of customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare invoices and track payments of receivables
• Reconcile credit card payments
• Support Accounts Payable Administrator with invoice batching and accounts coding
• Maintain accounts receivable for all sites
• Prepare forms and documents as assigned for meetings / distribution
• Clerical duties – filing, sorting, photocopying and collating
• Staff support – answering inquiries from staff across departments,
• vendor support – responding to inquiries regarding invoices and payments
• cheque distribution – weekly distributions to various sites
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • completed one year of post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • strong computer skills, data entry skills and able to learn new technology quickly
  • independent worker with minimal supervision required
  • some accounting, payroll experience
  • excellent customer service skills
