Job Description:
Read work plans to determine work requirements
Help with the installation and assembly of equipment
Inspect products and processing methods; prepare reports and ensure that regulations governing health, quality and safety are followed
Document work completed
Repair, maintain and restore smokestacks (concrete, brick & steel)
Constructs, maintains, and demolishes elevated structures, such as smokestacks according to specifications.
Climb ladder and scaffolding to access work site at extreme heights
Assemble and climbs interlocking ladder
Construct and climb scaffolding tower around structure
Position and weld fabricated steel sections to structure
Repointing and motor joint repair on brick structure
Installs lightning protection devices
Apply paint and waterproofing solutions
Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary education is required
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry are required.
Must adhere to all Health and Safety Laws and Regulations set forth by the company, customers and Ministry of Labour
Ontario Working at Heights is required. If the candidate does not have the training certificate,
he/she will need to apply for one before start working
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye coordination, Handling heavy loads, Manual dexterity, Physically demanding, Standing for extended period, work under pressure

This position is physically demanding and involves working in various locations; willing to travel regularly and working outdoors under different weather conditions.
Language: English is required
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work site environment: At heights, Confined spaces, Dangerous, Hot, Noisy
Salary: 37.00 Hourly, 40 – 48 hours per week
Benefits: Dental plan, Health care plan, Reimbursement for PPE and transportation among work locations. Uniform provided by employer in partial. When the candidate is required to travel for working purposes, McLean Chimney Co. LTD. will cover all the costs associated with it
Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The work schedule is usually 8 hours per day, scheduled between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, 6 days per week, from Monday to Saturday. Overtime and work on holidays will be required depending on business needs. *We guarantee a minimum of 40 hours of work per week*
