Brief Job Description

The Job Developer Assistant will support TNGCS Employment Services by helping connect job seekers to meaningful employment opportunities. Working closely with our Job Developers, the youth will assist with employer outreach, job posting coordination, and tracking employer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Support outreach to local employers to share program information and collect job opportunities.

Help maintain the employer database, track interactions, and update placement files.

Assist with preparing job-matching materials such as resumes, job leads, and interview resources.

Support the planning of employer events, job fairs, and sector information sessions.

Provide administrative support, including scheduling, follow-ups, and preparing reports.

Promote decent work by helping identify safe, supportive, and high-quality employer partners.

DUTIES:

  1. Work closely with Employment Advisors to determine participant needs and interests in order to research and suggest appropriate resources to refer said participants to.
  2. Provide support to job seekers and staff, including but not limited to technology/Zoom, client intake, Better Jobs Ontario and administrative work.
  3. Assist in the delivery of job search related workshops.
  4. Work with Job seeker participants to review and suggest improvements on their resumes.
  5. Assist members of the team with follow up participant calls as required.
  6. Provide input on materials, activities and delivery methods based on client feedback, demographics and anticipated needs for the development/ improvement of services.
  7. Actively participate in and prepare for team and other meetings.
  8. Adhere to all TNG policies and procedures and ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
  9. Cooperate with AODA and health and safety procedures and policies.
  10. Perform other duties, appropriate to the position, as required.
