Overview

JOB SUMMARY:  The successful applicant would be responsible for planning tours and meetings with politicians over the summer months, including liaising with government offices, preparing information for tours, and working with various staff on scheduling according to political riding. There would also be opportunities to engage with political offices via written communication and advocacy efforts.

DUTIES:

  • Outreach to all three levels of government using a variety of communication tools and strategies
  • Assist in planning supportive tours and meetings, in partnership with the CEO’s office, Communications team, and program departments
  • Research issues impacting TNGCS and government officials’ stances on a variety of issues impacting the communities in Toronto
  • Preparing TNGCS’s CEO and program staff to meet with politicians and government decision makers
  • Adherence to agency’s policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills required for communication with political offices and government staff
  • Other duties as assigned
