JOB DESCRIPTION
In-Home Caregiver/Nanny needed for 3 young children (8 months-7 years).$14.00-$17.00 per hour for a 40 hr work week. salary depends on experience. Overtime occasionally may be required from 45-48 hrs and would be paid at 1.5 x per hour. Two days off per week on Saturday and Sunday. One year of relevant professional childcare experience required. Minimum of Equivalent Canadian High School diploma required. Job hours begin at 6:00am and finish at 7:00pm with mid day break. Must be flexible. Job located in London (Commissioners Rd East & Wellington). English language spoken and written, required. Work to take place in employers home.
Skills required–Supervise & care for children in employer’s residence; bathe, dress, plan meals and feed children, change diapers for baby; light housekeeping for children; oversee children’s activities, such as meals & rest periods, as instructed, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; instruct children in personal hygiene; tend to the emotional well-being of children & support their social development; discipline children according to the methods requested; organize & participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading & outings. Walk to and from school. Homework supervision.
Good communication and decision making skills are essential. MUST BE FLEXIBLE
