Overview
In-Home Caregiver/Nanny needed for 2 school aged children. $16.00-$18.00 per hour for a 40 hr work week, salary depends on experience. Job hours 7:30 am to 8:00 pm. Mid day breaks while children are at school. Overtime may be required from 45-48 hrs and would be paid at 1.5 x per hour. Two days off per week on Sat/Sun. One year of relevant professional child care experience required. Minimum of equivalent Canadian High School diploma required. Must be flexible. Job located in London (Richmond & Fanshawe). English language spoken and written, required. Work to take place in employers home.
Skills required–Supervise & care for children in employer’s residence; plan, prepare & serve meals for children; light housekeeping; oversee children’s activities, as instructed; maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; instruct children in personal hygiene; tend to the emotional well-being of children & support their social development; discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents; organize & participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading & outings. Homework supervision.
Good communication and decision making skills are essential.
