Overview
In-home Caregiver needed for one school aged child. $14.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience for a 37.5 hour workweek. 2 days off per week. Saturday/Sunday off. Minimum one year of relevant working professional child care experience required. Equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma is required. Overtime occasionally may be needed and would be paid at time and a half. Job hours 7:30 am to 5:30 pm but some flexibility is required.Mid day break from 9:30 am- 12:00 pm. Job located in Brampton North (Countryside Drive & Goreway Drive). English language spoken and written is necessary. Work to take place in employers home.
Skills required: Supervise and care for one school aged child in home, maintain a safe and healthy environment; instruct in personal hygiene; tend to the emotional well-being of child & support their social development; discipline according to the methods requested; organize & participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading & outings. Homework supervision. Light housekeeping duties for child. Meal preparation for child (Breakfast, lunch, dinner) .
Reading, good communication, decision making skills and organization are essential.
