Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS – Dragados. CTS has been selected to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.
Responsibilities:
• Perform general Shipping & Receiving tasks including physical activities in order to load, unload, sort, and move incoming and outgoing shipments by hand or using appropriate material handling equipment.
• Receive and coordinate the receipt of all incoming goods and materials, check material code identifications, and store incoming material equipment and supplies in appropriate storage areas as per requirements.
• Complete and maintain daily shipping and receiving logs.
• Ensure non-conforming goods are documented, quarantined, and dispositioned as per Quality Assurance Non Conformance Reporting (NCR) procedures.
• Ensure all project goods and materials under Shipping & Receiving control are handled and stored properly to ensure that such materials can be supplied to end user in an acceptable and damage free condition.
• Use and operate various material handling Tools, equipment and machinery including operation of Forklifts, tow motors, overhead cranes and perform rigging work involving the material handling equipment to be operated safely as per CrossLinx Health, Safety Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Ensure safe handling and storage methods are used in all activities to protect health, safety of all personnel and goods.
• Ensure timely and accurate material receiving, marking, storage, locating, retrieval, and issuing of materials, special tools, and equipment to end users.
• Ensure any Dangerous Goods received have all applicable WHIMS label, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) enclosed with the shipment to determine appropriate storage, handling, and delivery coordination with end users or need for quarantine in safe enclosure/location until such information is available or refusal for acceptance of such materials as needed.
Requirements:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in Materials management, Shipping & Receiving functions in a Manufacturing/Warehousing/Logistics industry.
• Demonstrated communication skills to support co-ordination and instruct/receive feedback from staff and internal/external Project groups, stakeholders.
• Demonstrated minimum 2 years of experience and training in safe operation of warehousing, material handling equipment such as Forklifts, Indoor hoists/cranes and having valid Ontario “G” motor vehicle license or higher.
• Trained and familiar with WHIMS, Dangerous Goods Regulations (Transport Canada Clear TDG regulations) and requirements and certifications.

• Internal stakeholders; procurement, cost, construction, and contracts departments
Physical Demands:
• Able to perform in a fast paced environment.
• Walking, lifting up to 50lbs, etc.
