Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Summer Student to support a key Human Resources initiative involving the migration of employee personnel files into Workday. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a career in Human Resources who is looking to gain hands-on experience with HR systems, data management, and records administration

 

This is a contract full‑time position scheduled to work 35 hours per week

 

 

DUTIES

Assist with the migration of hardcopy and electronic personnel files into Workday
Organize and review physical employee files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Identify and remove duplicate or outdated documents in accordance with retention guidelines
Scan and upload documents into the HR system, maintaining consistent naming conventions and file structure
Ensure confidentiality and security of all employee information during handling and processing
Support general HR administrative tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Comfortable working with both physical documents and digital systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with Workday or other HRIS is an asset
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
Work Environment

Hybrid role with a requirement to work onsite for file handling and scanning activities
