JOB DESCRIPTION
COSTI HEAD OFFICE REQUIRES AN ACCOUNTING CLERK

Accounting Clerk maintains the Accounts Receivable system, donations system and processes all customer / client invoicing and funding claims using Microsoft Dynamics NAV Accounts Receivable module.

This is a fulltime non-union position scheduled to work 35 hours per week.

DUTIES

• Generates all agency invoices using the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Accounts Receivable system.
• Updates Accounts Receivable system with payments and reconciles to General Ledger. Follows up on all discrepancies and overdue invoices and processes adjustments as required.
• Ensures all Ontario Works fees are invoiced and recorded. Provides department managers with details of payment discrepancies for further follow up.
• Reconciles bank statements to General Ledger bank accounts in Dynamics NAV and processes adjustments.
• Prepares cash receipt journal entries from all cash deposit reports received from program and Centre staff.
• Processes pre-authorized bank deductions from donors’ bank accounts and credit cards. Maintains donation reports and issues donation tax receipts as required.
• Generates monthly internal operating statements & General Ledger and uploads to COSTI intranet.
• Produces government reports and budgets as required. Assists in the organization’s budget process.
• Maintains agency property lease schedule and equipment lease schedule.
• Prepares fundraising statements and reports for review by Manager of Development and Senior Management.
• Provide back up for Payroll if required in Dynamics NAV.
• Other ad hoc analysis as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Community College Diploma in Accounting or equivalent to 3rd level CPA, CGA.
• Three (3) years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
• Two (2) years of experience in payroll, and over two hundred employee’s payroll system; with union experience is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Experience with Microsoft GP and/or ACCPAC, and/or other ERP system is a definite asset.
• A minimum of intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience in system integration, conversion and system upgrade is an asset.
• Must be proficient in meeting tight deadlines and capable of working independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills is essential.
• Willing to work overtime if required.
• Fluency in oral and written English.

LOCATION: 1710 Dufferin Street, Toronto
START DATE: December 24, 2018
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $44,145 to $48,000 per annum + benefits
