  • $19.00-$24.04/hour with vacation pay at 4% of gross wages/year

Chick-fil-A Yonge and Bloor is seeking talented hospitality and food industry professionals to serve at Chick-fil-A’s first flagship restaurant outside of the United States of America. Independently owned and operated the Franchisee is looking for individuals who have a heart to “create a safe, quick, clean and welcoming restaurant experience where people of all walks of life gather to enjoy a nourishing meal.” The Restaurant & Grand Opening Trainer Role is a part of the people development strategy at Chick-fil-A Yonge and Bloor. They are essential to equipping new, and current team members with the skills, and knowledge to execute all operational requirements in the restaurant.. Duties

  • Complete the Certified Trainer Program at Chick-fil-A Yonge and Bloor and be in good standing as a Certified Trainer
  • Complete all Pathway courses with 90% proficiency score and stay up to date with all new training modules offered
  • Train new and current team members at Chick-fil-A Yonge and Bloor, Health & Safety protocols, and new product rollouts
  • Assist with supervision and observation of new trainees as they prepare, portion and serve food and rotate among several positions
  • Maintains food safety and quality standards at all times, especially while training trainees
  • Possibly participating in on-going feedback and selection process of Certified Trainers and assisting with development and growth of operational and training procedures
  • Attend at minimum, one Chick-fil-A Canada ULC Grand Opening a year
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to current and new team members when needed, maintaining a stance of humility and submission to leadership authority
  • Attend quarterly Certified Trainer Meetings for continuous development and mentorship
  • Consistently model and follow all correct Chick-fil-A procedures and Handbook policies all day, every day

Qualifications

  • Completion of a secondary school.
  • Formal education or diploma in hospitality or food service is required.
  • Minimum 6+ months of training/teaching experience or in a role where you are developing, observing, supervising and providing performance feedback to others
  • Minimum 1+ year of Chick-fil-A Franchise Experience in the Back of House (Kitchen) or in a Quick Service Restaurant equivalent is required.
  • Valid Food Safety certificate from Toronto Public Health or another restaurant approved Food Safety Course
  • Full-Time Availability (overtime available) is required.
