Overview
Allwood Carpentry Manufacturing is seeking experienced Finish Carpenters (NOC 72310).
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Schedule: Day Shift
Wage: $36.00 to $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: 32 to 44 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in finish carpentry and millwork
- Experience manufacturing and installing custom cabinetry and architectural millwork (custom work; not mass production)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in both shop and field environments
- Valid driver’s licence
- Steel-toed safety footwear
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood and wood products to manufacture custom cabinetry, mouldings, shelving, panels, and other architectural millwork components
- Install and finish custom cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, mouldings, hardware, shelving, and other architectural woodwork at residential and commercial job sites
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and compliance with specifications
- Assist with coordinating and overseeing helpers and entry-level carpenters on job sites as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work Location:
Shop location: 33 Atomic Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M8Z 5K8
Travel is required to various residential and commercial job sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions.
