Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time hours of up to 44 hours per week

Wages and Benefits:

• $36.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills

• Medical and dental benefits available following completion of the probationary period

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in small engine repair, mechanical repair, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• A least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining small engines and construction equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Steel-toed safety boots required
• Driving record and licence validity check

Job Duties: 

• Inspect and test small engines, motors, and mechanical equipment to diagnose and isolate faults (e.g. generators, compressors, pumps, pressure washers, concrete saws, plate compactors)
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safe operation
• Perform scheduled maintenance service on small engines and construction-related equipment
• Review work orders and discuss repair requirements with supervisors and other personnel
• Document inspections, tests and repairs
